“In my understanding, there is only one way you can play! You have to be a competitive Goal Keeper! You will be able to compete at any ages and levels after reaching a success in “GK 3 step process”: 1. Decision making 2. Reaction Speed 3. Action. Therefore, at any ages and levels, during the training process my goal is to build your overall look as much as professional as I possibly can.” - Anton Trifonov
These are seven major topics we will focus on in order to build a competitive GK: Positioning: Where do you need to be when the ball is at certain locations on the field.Angles: Facing shots from different angles. Proper technique. Diving: Correct way to dive, best way to catch the ball and land to keep your body safe. Mobility: Dealing with both high and low shots. Getting up and down after facing a shot to make the next save. Reaction: Similar to mobility but getting yourself set and ready to face another shot. Shot blocking: proper technique. How to position your hands, legs, and body. Distribution: goalkicks and punts. Playing the ball out of the back.
