LEARN TO PLAY: Never played - need to learn basic passing, catching scooping and cradling. Basic shooting and defending.
SKILLS & DRILLS: Intermediate skills and game play. Play with both hands. Dodging technique. Game play basics. Shooting for speed and accuracy. Defending as a team. Passing catching and shooting on the run.
SHOOTER & GOALIE SCHOOL: Shooter’s School is for the intermediate to advanced player who wants to really work on the quality of his shooting and dodging. This clinic is shooting and dodging only and is for both middies and attack. Our Goalie Academy will include form and technique, foot skills, strategy, reflexes, body position, and hand-eye coordination. We feel that the position of goalie is an important position within lacrosse and one that requires a different style of coaching from other positions.
7v7 LEAGUE PLAY: Optimal to increase the speed of the game and increase “touches” for the boys. This is following the move in US Lacrosse, US Box LAX and our National Youth Lacrosse training guidelines. Younger boys need a field that is age appropriate to increase their development both technically as well as their “Lax IQ.”
